Hello and here we go again - is was a bit silence in this forum here, but that's also because - well - not a lot of people even look in here. But still when it comes to keep everyone informed about the project in a persistent way, this is still the right place to do it. For a more regular or more "direct" way of being informed it's always a good idea to join the games discord tho
Anniversary coming
As anniversiary I regulary use the creation of this domain and it's something approaching fast (end of march basically) so it's time to have another recap, which unfortunatelly is not very good:
Basically no metric has changed since the last 6 months. No new sales and even tho I asked people how crucial it would be to leave a review, the game still have not managed to gather more than 7 reviews, which is very sad news because that means, the game is basically not visible on steam and will not get any more traction and/or budget for further development. Almost no new wishlists, no coverage anywhere.
Still the same metrics that basically half the playerbase has played well over 200 hrs according to steam data.
Next steps
There is one last "event" approaching in the next weeks which will finally conclude the future of Exipelago. It can either attract more interest to justify further development or I just have to accept that there is simply not even slightly enough demand for it and Exipelago will be raised to 1.0 with it's current feature set. To much money was lost in the process and too much time invested and this game is simply too complex to be kept alive without community support.
I will watch the next weeks with great interest and hope the tides will turn in favor of the game and will report back then!
